The Sign

7/14/2015

A house of holy power

graced with hymns to the believer.

A place of prayer and peace

taken to its knees

by the mass hate of one man

that, himself, did not believe

in the rejoicing of others.

Bullets of racism

taking the lives of the innocent.

The symbols of hate

were told and teased

about what had to be done

to spread the word of ignorance

and how his hands

would be the ones

that would lead the sacrifice.

The world he belonged to

knew about the upcoming disgrace

and sat on their hands

and sealed their lips,

not believing of choosing not too.

No man could be so full of hate,
that had to be their thoughts

when they were told

about the manifesto.

Lived may have been saved

and the worshipers

could have continued to sing.

Only if the informed

believed all the hatred

in the given signs.
